Hermès — The Sound of Silver WEBBY AWARD/CRYSTAL
The ‘Sound of Hermès Silver’ installation was created by placing 16 pieces from the Chaîne d’ancre collection onto specially designed turntables that moved using mechanical cogs. The turning jewelry was scanned by a laser, which elicits a unique sound from each chain, ring and bracelet, according to Hermès, each have ‘its own particular voice’. Musician YoggyOne created various tones unique to each piece, interpreting how the weight, dimensions and density would effect the sound of jewelry, to create a ‘symphony of silver’.
In the ad, a woman watches, mesmerized, as the jewelry plays its own ambient song to her.
